Together, we can build an Eden for Culebra—an oasis of hope, sustainability, and community.
At Culebra Eden Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the potential to transform land into a flourishing, sustainable oasis that nourishes both people and nature. Our vision is bold, but with your support, we can make it a reality—one phase at a time.
- Phase 1: Cultivating a Sustainable Future Our immediate goal is to acquire at least 15 acres of farmland to create a thriving community farm and food forest. This land will be a hub of education and sustainability, featuring an outdoor learning center, a fully equipped teaching kitchen with 10 workstations, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and five modular homes for volunteers and visitors. We’ll also construct a food processing and storage facility, ensuring that everything we grow is utilized for the benefit of the community.
- Phase 2: Protecting Culebra’s Wild Horses Culebra’s wild horses are an iconic part of the island, and we are committed to giving them a safe, protected space. Our plan includes creating a sanctuary where they can roam freely and access clean drinking water in a secure environment.
- Phase 3: Planting the Seeds of Change Next, we will begin the plantation of local fruit trees like coconut, plantains, bananas, Caribbean cherry, mango, jackfruit, guava, and more. By planting 10 of each species, we will create an abundant, diverse food forest that will nourish the people of Culebra for years to come.
- Phase 4: Equipping Our Mission To bring this vision to life, we need to invest in basic agricultural equipment. These tools will empower us to cultivate the land efficiently, preparing it to serve as a sustainable food source for the entire community.
- Phase 5: Cultivating Nature’s Gifts We will create beautiful, purposeful gardens—a butterfly garden, an herb and spices garden, and a medicinal herbs garden—that will offer not only beauty but also educational opportunities for all who visit.
- Phase 6: Harnessing the Power of Nature To ensure our project is environmentally friendly, we will install solar energy units and rainwater cisterns, providing renewable energy and clean water for the farm, homes, and learning center.
- Phase 7: Building Eden Village Imagine a vibrant, sustainable community space—Eden Village—where volunteers and visitors can live and learn. This phase includes the construction of an outdoor learning center, the teaching kitchen, dining areas, modular homes, and a prefabricated building for food processing and storage. It will be a place where knowledge is shared, and the seeds of sustainability are planted for future generations.
This is a mission of love!

The main ingredient is love!
Why we love what we do!
At Culebra Eden Foundation, we’re passionate about preserving the natural beauty and unique spirit of our island.
Culebra is my home now, and even though I’ve only lived here for a few years, I’ve always dreamed of seeing our little island not just survive, but truly thrive—and become a beacon of inspiration to the world. We may be a small community, but our hearts are as big as the ocean that surrounds us!

I want my children to grow up deeply connected to the land and this little island they love so much. I dream of a future where they, and all the youth of Culebra, learn to grow their own food and pass that knowledge on to the next generation—keeping our island’s roots strong and our community thriving for years to come

As a native Culebrense, I feel a deep responsibility to teach the next generation to connect with nature, to love the land and appreciate the gifts it provides. My hope is to inspire them to make positive choices for their future and to grow into leaders who inspire others around the world.
