At Culebra Eden Foundation, we believe in the power of community, and in the deep, restorative potential of working the land together. Our vision is to transform raw earth into a thriving, sustainable farm that feeds the body, uplifts the spirit, and brings people into healing connection with nature and one another.

Phase 1: Laying the Foundation for Eden Village

We’re taking the first step in building Eden Village, a community farm and food forest on Culebra. Thanks to a generous local landowner, we’ve already been entrusted with 4 acres to begin. Our next goal: acquiring 15 more acres to expand our vision.

This land will be more than a farm. It will be a healing sanctuary where volunteers and residents can come to reconnect, learn, contribute, and find peace through the grounding rhythm of farm life. A space that nourishes not just with food, but with meaning.

Phase 2: Protecting Culebra’s Wild Horses

The island’s wild horses are part of its soul. We’re creating a sanctuary where they can roam safely and access fresh water, living freely on protected land.

Phase 3: Planting the Seeds of Change

We will begin planting local fruits: coconut, plantains, bananas, Caribbean cherry, mango, jackfruit, guava, and more. With at least 10 of each species, we’ll create a rich, diverse food forest to nourish the community and deepen our food sovereignty.

Phase 4: Equipping Our Mission

To work the land and serve the community, we need the right tools. Basic agricultural equipment will help us prepare the soil and expand our ability to feed and host those who come to learn, heal, and grow.

Phase 5: Cultivating Nature’s Gifts

We’ll grow more than food. Our butterfly, herb, and medicinal gardens will offer beauty, learning, and healing spaces to reflect, breathe, and connect with the natural world in a deeply personal way.

Phase 6: Harnessing the Power of Nature

Eden Village will run on solar energy and rainwater harvesting, ensuring our farm remains sustainable, self-sufficient, and in harmony with the land.

Phase 7: Building Eden Village

Eden Village will be a home for healing and learning. Volunteers, visitors, and agrotourists will come together in this vibrant space — working side by side in the fields, sharing meals, attending workshops, and resting in modular homes designed for simplicity and peace.

This final phase includes:

• An outdoor learning center
• A teaching kitchen and dining areas
• Modular homes for guests and volunteers
• A facility for food processing and storage

Eden Village will be more than a farm. It will be a community of people supporting one another through shared purposes, a space for emotional restoration, skill-building, and collective empowerment.
